A tweet thread posted by a Battlefield 2042 spokesperson has resulted in a social media dog pile that could eventually shut down the game’s official subdivision. In response to fans criticizing DICE for lack of communication and patches in late December, Andy McNamara, EA’s director of global communications, told fans in now-deleted tweets that the battlefield team was still working after the holiday break. But is coming back.

“People, people need to relax. We have things moving, but we need to find out what’s possible,” McNamara said. “Let’s just take a break and get back to work. You love people but these expectations are cruel. It takes time to design, implement and do what you want.”
