Halo Infinite Big Team Battle Fix Is Coming Next Week, 343 Says

According to developer 343 Industries, a hotfix is coming mid-next week to address pending matchmaking issues related to Halo Infinite’s Big Team Battle mode.

The patch has been tested and is currently going through the Xbox certification process and should be good next week unless new issues arise, writes 343 on the Halo Waypoint forums. Big Team Battle has suffered from varying levels of unplayability in recent weeks due to matchmaking issues that would cause players to disconnect or fail to load in a match. The problem is more serious for large groups of players.

As a thank you to players who patiently wait for the issue to be resolved over the holidays, 343 will be giving five XP boosts and five challenge swaps to all players who log in after next week’s hotfix release. The offer for free boosts and challenge swaps is valid for about a month, says 343.

343 is currently working on a patch scheduled for mid-February that will address other issues, though the developer hasn’t shared any details about what that patch will include. Additional updates and plans on topics such as armor customization, trickery, and more are also in the works.

Players who are Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can claim additional free XP boosts and challenge swaps this month, along with an exclusive Warthog skin.

GameSpot may receive a commission from retail offers.
