One of my favorite things about Destiny 2 is when it combines the right way to create unexpected weirdness. Moment– Something you had to be there to experience. At this point, it seems that many Destiny 2 players are lowering their power levels to help the stranded new lights that there really aren’t that many new lights left. The way the Destiny community gathers on such things is great, and the thing I love about playing this game for so long is that it’s worth remembering such moments. Remember when Xur tried to trap all the new players in the black hole? It was definitely funny.

Best year of Destiny 2
By the end of 2021, GameSpot has spent the last 12 months looking around to review the games we’ve played, calling the best of the year and highlighting our favorites. And now that it’s over, I’ve been doing it for the last few days. I’ve been saying for a while now that the game has seen significant improvements every year since the release of Forsaken, and I think 2021 was by far the best for Bungie.
I tried to count some of these ideas in another piece, where I considered an aspect that I think reflects the changes that have taken place in Destiny 2 this year that have seriously improved it. : do it. Largely, Crow has acted as a thematic protagonist for the post-Beyond Light story season. He provides an external perspective on mass destiny, and his behind-the-scenes story as Aldrin Soo provides a thematic basis for everything that has happened. The crow is also a former enemy and one who doesn’t see the enemy in every stranger – unlike those of us who have been playing this game for years. His approach has refreshed many stories and shaken many characters.
I will not repeat what I have already said about Crow. The discussions I have had since the publication of this article have pointed out that, despite the fact that I called it the central character of destiny in this article, do not have. Of all The main character. I mean, as a way of explaining its function in the story – Crow is providing a throw line to the seasons which are usually somewhat different from each other. Destiny currently has a very diverse cast of characters, and for those who belong to those characters, Crow can feel like the main character in a default male video game. So when I say he’s Destiny’s “main character” right now, I mean mostly that his point of view is being used to challenge the rules of the game, thanks to his backstory. And it’s not that he’s “better” or “more important” than the characters. We have a long standing relationship.
In fact, I would say that while the Crow moments in 2021 were great, the best story told this year was about Mithrax, Saint-14, Osiris, and Lakshmi-2 during the Splicer season. The Tower’s political machinery, the Senate’s rethink of its relationship with Alexander, the tension between the Senate and Osiris, the Metrox’s struggle to save its people as a group of vulnerable refugees among apparent enemies – all of these Was brilliant, and added a great deal of depth to the ideas of traditional destiny. The crow was barely a part of it, and it’s true that you can think of each season as having its own central character. Do what I think indicates is an attempt to make each of these episodes of Bungee closer to each other, not just part of a larger whole. And it has improved the game. Significantly in my mind.
I think the whole climatic perspective has been greatly enhanced in 2021, so that it is different from other years of destiny. Although we haven’t had a moment’s expansion since the delay in The Witch Queen, 2021 still did a great job of providing content that felt like a solid, but not disturbing, cadence. I know some players will take issue with this approach, but I fear that the vast majority of Destiny players – even diehards – will benefit from small bursts of weekly content or seasonal content, rather than large drops. . I’ve said before that I’d like to go every week to a TV show like Destiny 2’s Burst, where I wasn’t. Need To sink hours into the game at any time. Enough to engage without burial. I loved each and every season this year and thought they all had something good to offer. Seasonal activities have felt like an improvement and refinement in recent years, and many of the frustrations caused by things like Forge Ignitions or Warset Launches have been removed. An extraordinary story-telling mission with many secrets, I played the paragraph over and over again to unravel everything it had to offer. I would love to see more awesome missions in Destiny 2 and I think Presage is a great example of the concept in this regard. We’ve seen this year how Destiny 2 can improve the variety of experiences within its framework – I would say Dears and Grass of Everest is the best comedy in the bungee game, for example. , And this is another high water. Destiny 2 is a great place when we head to Witch Queen. The game is getting better with each passing year.
